Every month, Mike Colameco hosts a cooking class. It takes place at Viking/Carl Schaedel and Co. Showroom on Third Avenue. Before the class, participants can taste wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon with an assortment of cheese. This month, the wine selection included:

•    December 12: PS1 MoMA Cafeteria Event
Approximately sixty people participated at this event. Three wines were presented: a Chardonnay from the Domaine de Puech Cocut, a Chardonnay Le Parc from the Domaine Raissac and a Jaja de Jau, whose label was designed by Ben, a famous French artist.



•    December 16: Pop Rally Event with the MoMA
Come join PopRally for an exceptional, after-hours viewing event of two of MoMA’s current exhibitions, including Bauhaus 1919–1933: Workshops for Modernity. The gallery tour will be followed by an exclusive cocktail reception featuring Sud de France wines, with music by DJ Secret Squares. Be sure to stay tuned for more MoMA/Sud de France collaborations!

•    November 19: Sparkling Wine Festival in Westchester
Visitors had the chance to taste sparkling wines from all over the world. Five Sud de France wines were presented during the Festival in a trendy and rafined location.

MoMA’s New Photography 2009 exhibition features the work of six contemporary photographers.  The event offers special viewing opportunity in a festive atmosphere for about five to six hundred guests. An exhibition New Yorkers look forward to every year, the PopRally event is always a hit. Along with the art itself, this event includes a variety of interactive features, such as the unique backdrops created by select represented artists for digital photo booths where guests can photograph themselves.

Celebrate the final event in the On The Rooftop Series at the Metropolitan Home Showtime House at Tribeca Summit (415 Greenwich Street, Penthouse). Notable designers have transformed two Tribeca penthouses, totaling over 14,000 square feet, into show stopping displays of modern design inspired by six of Showtime's original hit series. Enjoy complimentary beverages from Sud de France wines while taking a tour of these exclusive penthouses. Admission is $25 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit The Food Bank For New York City. Must be 21 or over to attend.

Four food and wine journalists from the US and based in the New York area attended the ‘Sud de France Women in Wine’ press trip from July 26-31. 11 different wine estates were visited over a period of five days and the journalists had the opportunity to taste close to 100 different wines from over 17 different appelations within the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The journalists gained a great understanding for the quality of the wines coming from the Languedoc-Roussillon region and a great understanding for the passion and spirit of the individual winemakers from each of the various appelations.

In partnership with the French Institute Alliance Française, a Sud de France degustation was organized to discover the wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon Region. Master Sommelier at Le Cru Restaurant Raj Vaidya led the class and presented the particularities of our wines.

The Maison de la Région celebrated its inauguration with a Sud de France party in collaboration with the French Tuesdays at the Nikki Beach Midtown. A panel of 8 producers presented their specificities and way of making to specialized media.
 
•    February 27– March 1: New York Wine Expo
The Maison de la Région and Sud de France Export regrouped 11 producers around the Sud de France banner to participate to the New York Wine Expo and meet new opportunities with the trade, the media and the general public.
